ADOPT A DINGO

Thanks for taking the time to consider adopting a displaced dingo or dingo-hybrid who needs a new start.

Every dingo in our care has a special story of how he or she came to be homeless. Though each dingo's story is different, they all have a common desire to belong to a loving home once again.

As a pack animal, dingoes love company! Not built for the solo life, dingoes want to be with their families at all times - be that dingo, human or dog!

If you think you can provide the kind of home a dingo will love, please get in touch with us using our application form below.

Adoption Donations

Your tax-deductible donation to adopt a dingo plays a vital role in the sustainability of our life saving rescue work.

When a dingo comes into our care, we immediately cover expenses for emergency vet treatment, microchip, vaccinations, parasite control, and at a later date desexing.

As many dingoes come into our care from the wild in critical condition, we rehabilitate these beautiful animals for many months, sometimes even over a year, covering all rehabilitation expenses along the way.

Your donation to adopt an animal in our care covers a portion of these expenses and allows us to continue our life saving work.

By donating to us you are not only helping the individual animal you have adopted but are supporting future rescue cases.

Thank you for partnering with us to save the wild-hearted.

Application Form

To begin our adoption application we would like to gather some information about you, your home and your interest in dingo care. This helps us match you with the most suitable dingo. Please take some time to carefully complete our application form below.

FAITH

Gender: Female             Personality: playful, loving, shy

aith is a beautiful young dingo who is extremely curious yet cautious and demands affection from those that she trusts.

Faith is confident within the sanctuary but she does find the outside world a little bit overwhelming at times.

For the people she loves, Faith will follow them around and even paw at them so she can receive pats. She will provide them with a smile, a kiss and a wagging tail upon greeting. This affection and trust takes time so she will need an owner who is patient.

rusty

Tax deductible adoption donation of $500 or more
Microchip Number 900079000138155
Name: Rusty               Preferred environment: Calm, partially busy
DOB: June 2016           Training needed:
Gender: Male               Personality: Sensitive, confident, playful, loyal
Vet work: Up to date   Companion canine: Yes

Rusty is known affectionately to our volunteers as the most ‘photogenic’ of our dingoes. He is regularly perched on a rock overseeing the goings on of the Sanctuary, in prime position for a sneaky photo. His colouring and striking features make it hard not to adore this boy.

Rusty is a sensitive soul and can be aloof at first, taking his time to get to know who he wants to make friends with. But once he decides you’re friends, he will greet you eagerly and when the mood strikes he will play-bow and ask you to play chasey like a gleeful child. He is often playing with the younger males, running happily around the sanctuary. He would love to have a canine companion to play chase with in his new home but his sensitive nature means he can sometimes be fussy with whom he becomes besties. Rusty will be unsuitable to a family with young children.

Rusty is very independent, confident and intelligent and will need plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep his youthful vitality and happy go lucky nature thriving.

If you think you can provide the home Rusty dreams of,
please complete the adoption form.

STRENGTH
Tax deductible adoption donation of $500 or more
Microchip Number: 900079000552705
Name: Strength            Preferred environment: calm and quiet
DOB: May, 2019           Training needed: confidence
Gender: Male                Personality: Quiet, playful, goofball
Vet work: Up to date    Companion canine: Yes
Strength is a gentle soul with a playful personality once he opens up.

This handsome man loves to play with his canine companions but is quite cautious around people, especially strangers. Once trust is established he adores pats, cuddles and kisses. He will follow around, play and even chortle with the people he trusts, inviting them to a game of tag. Once you get close enough and begin patting him, he will never want it to stop, coming closer to you for more.

After his time of affection, he enjoys spending the rest of the day sunbathing near another dingo, so a home with another canine is preferred as he will rely on them for comfort, confidence and companionship.

Strength is an intelligent dingo that will need an owner that is patient and willing to work with him to gain his trust and increase his confidence as he does find new people and the outside world overwhelming at times.

COAL
Tax deductible adoption donation of $500 or more
Microchip Number: 900164002058566
Name: Coal                      Preferred environment: Part of the action!
DOB: August, 2021         Training needed:
Gender: Male                   Personality: loving, energetic, cheeky, sweet
Vet work: Up to date       Companion canine: Yes
Coal came into care with us as a tiny wild born orphan. He lost his parents at just a few weeks of age and was left to survive on his own. Unsure of the big wide world without his family, Coal found himself in a shelter that needed our help. Coal immediately found refuge at our sanctuary, the older dingoes acting as his surrogate family.

It wasn't long until Coal was ruling the roost as they say. Being extremely cheeky and forming strong bonds with the older dingoes and the volunteers on site. This boosted Coals confidence and allowed us to work with him in the domestic setting.

Coal loves meeting new people in environments where he is comfortable. He will greet slowly as most dingoes do. If he feels safe he will warm up to a new person quickly and provide lots of kisses and cuddles. He is even known to put his paws on peoples shoulders and give bear hugs!

Coal will need another canine to keep him company in his new home. This will help with his confidence as he settles into a new environment, and provide him with a mate to rumble and wrestle with. Two of his favourite things to do.

Coal is suited to a well managed environment with children over 7.

Coal needs an understanding family who will continue to support him with his confidence and socialisation. He is a very intelligent dingo who will need regular mental and physical stimulation to keep his beautiful dingo mind healthy and active.

If you think Coal is the perfect addition for your family, please complete the adoption form to the left.

COURAGE

Tax deductible adoption donation of $500 or more
Microchip Number: 900079000552701
Name: Courage                Preferred environment: Calm, partially busy
DOB: May, 2019               Training needed: Confidence building
Gender: Male                    Personality: shy, gentle, playful with dogs
Vet work: Up to date
 Companion canine: yes

Courage is a gentle and sensitive soul who is extremely intelligent and independent.
Even though he is quite shy, he must greet all new guests before continuing his daily routines of playing with his pack members and relaxing in the sun.

He does well on lead and loves command training, already knowing sit, drop and paw but he can get overwhelmed by people and cars so patience is needed upon training. It may take some time but he does choose people to be affectionate with, providing licks, enjoying pats and sometimes wanting to cuddle.

Courage will need a quiet environment with another canine for companionship as well as an owner who will understand his sensitive personality and work with him to build trust and confidence.

If Courage sounds like a catch, please fill out an application form.

Adina

Tax deductible adoption donation of $500 or more
Microchip Number: 900079000552811
Name: Adina                   Preferred environment: quiet, supportive
DOB: July, 2017               Training needed: interaction with humans
Gender: Female              Personality: inquisitive, shy, gentle
Vet work: Up to date      Companion canine: Yes
Adina is a beautiful but shy wild born orphan, who is looking for a home of her own.

Adina is needing a quiet environment to call home.
Although shy, Adina has an inquisitive nature and does hand feed once she is sure she can trust you. She will need another dog to call her friend, as she adores the company of canines whether she’s wrestling with them, kissing them or snuggling together with her pack member.

Adina will do best in a setting that can support her wild heart. She is not suited for the suburban setting as she would find the noise and busy environment too overwhelming.

Adina would benefit from having an area that gives her the option to interact with her new family while having the option to retreat as she gains confidence in her new environment. She does like to be on the outskirts of the action but will say hello to those that she trusts.

She is the true definition of a wild-heart so why not open your heart and home to Adina and complete the adoption form.
