DINGO DEN VOLUNTEERING
Where Passion Finds Purpose
Volunteering roles are still active during COVID19, caring for our dingoes is top priority and deemed legal under 'essential work'. Volunteering takes place outdoors and in a well-spaced, well-ventilated area. All necessary precautions such as hand hygiene, social distancing and adequate cleaning are abided by.
If you love animals and native conservation, volunteering with us will link your passion with our purpose.
Our mandate is to save the lives of dingoes, empower wildlife carers, and prevent the extinction of Australia's vulnerable fauna and flora.
We know that everyone has talents and abilities that can help an important mandate like ours so we have outlined six areas that you can get involved in. These six areas, known as pillars, enable Dingo Den Animal Rescue to fulfil its mandate.
Sanctuary and Fleet
Fundraising & Partnerships
Service Security and Sustainability
Den Keeping volunteers must be willing to commit to a minimum of 2hours or 1 shift per week for 6months.
Sanctuary volunteers are permitted to attend less frequently with no ongoing expected commitment once projects are completed. Sanctuary team priority is project management and progression, with skilled tradespeople desired as specific project requirements arise.
All other pillar participation can be via distance and some on an irregular basis, dependent on volunteer skills, location and interests.
Prior to your induction, all consistent volunteers must have a Working With Children Check and Police Check for those over 18, plus fill out a Personality Test and on-site volunteers must have proof of an up-to-date Tetanus Vaccination.
Those volunteering ad-hoc for certain projects will be discussed on a case by case basis.
Inductions for new recruits are run on a fortnightly basis so you can become part of our team!
